Integrity, professionalism, and respect are just some of the qualities Gerald Giovannelli brings to his role as a financial advisor. 

At the age of 16, Gerald knew he wanted to serve his country, and he enlisted in the military as a combat medic. Through the course of his 23-year military career with the U.S. Army, he served in command positions in multiple tours of duty including Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan. A decorated combat officer, he continues to serve as a Lieutenant  Colonel in the U.S. Army® Reserves.

Transitioning to civilian life, he started a career at the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago (now known as The Shirley Ryan Abilitylab). Over the course of his nine years with the specialty rehabilitation hospital, he rose to the position of Director of Facilities, Planning, and Construction. 

Searching for a more meaningful mission where he could directly help people, he joined Northwestern Mutual in 2017. As a financial advisor, he parlays both his acumen learned in the military and corporate environment to gather intelligence, analyze and develop a comprehensive strategic financial plan for each of his clients.

Gerald earned a Master’s of Business Administration from St. Xavier University and a Bachelor of Science from the University of Illinois. He also holds a Master's in Military Science from the Command the Command and General Staff College. He has state life, accident and health insurance licenses and is Series 6 and 63 registered.
